Thin Blue line cuts through the heart of America. 13 is when you are supposed to be taking art class, learning to mix paint…but they can't afford the paint at his school so the cops try to teach how Red, white, and blue, mix with black--no paint needed today. Countries, communities, or people--Blue puts a knee into white, and white just goes blue so blue cuts white some slack, white was always blue deep down inside if you just add a little pressure. blue puts a knee on black, tired and weary black refuses to take, blue mixes black and it just gets darker…blue has always known what to do with darker…from the beginning it seems, one is a person the other a skin, Make that the shadow scarey and mean, turn it to nothing, representing a void. I wish someday blue would turn around as he walked away, to see red drain to black, before it's washed from the pavement by a deep blue sea of tears. Can't you see blue? black can be blue too, the same as me and you.
Maybe if blue would just stop checking to see what color you turn with a boot on your neck we could all stand up and examine something other than how black responds to blue. Maybe someday a 13 year old could finish art class, maybe a 13 year old black could examine some other colors someday... By @RJ "Deke" Dieken
